ummm... i hate to correct you all, but Akatsuki means 'Red Moon'.

You're not wrong, however the kanji means 'daybreak' or 'dawn.' =]
... but Obito's plan will make the moon red!
Yes, but Yahiko's plan was to bring a new era to Amegakure. =] And Yahiko originally created the Akatsuki.
